This policy describes how data is handled by the tool used by the operator to connect a Pinterest account and publish content from the operator’s website as Pins.
1. Overview of the Tool
This tool uses the open-source software “Postiz” (self-hosted) and the Pinterest API to publish or schedule Pins from articles, images, and other content posted on the operator’s website.
This tool is intended solely for use by the operator and is not a service for general users.
2. Information Collected
The following information is collected or processed for Pinterest integration.
2.1 Information Obtained from Pinterest
- Pinterest OAuth Authorization: Access tokens, refresh tokens, or equivalent authorization credentials
- Account Information: Pinterest account information required for operation (account identifier, display name, etc.)
- Board Information: List of boards for Pin publishing, board IDs, etc.
- Analytics: Post status, engagement statistics, etc. (if used)
Note: This tool does not use APIs for advertising purposes.
2.2 Information Entered or Generated by the Operator
- Post Data: Article URLs, titles, descriptions, image URLs/files, etc.
- Settings: Scheduled post dates/times, destination boards, etc.
2.3 Access Logs
The operator’s website and servers may collect access logs (IP addresses, user agents, access timestamps, etc.) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
3. Purpose of Use
Collected information is used only for the following purposes:
- OAuth authentication and Pinterest account connection
- Creating, publishing, and scheduling Pins; checking post status
- Providing and operating the tool; troubleshooting; security measures
- Responding to inquiries
4. Third-Party Disclosure
This tool transmits information to Pinterest (and related services) for posting and authentication.
Other than as required by law, personal information will not be sold or provided to third parties without consent.
5. Retention Period
- Pinterest Authorization: Retained only while the Pinterest integration is in use.
- Upon Disconnection: Deleted within a reasonable period when disconnected or upon deletion request (see “Data Deletion” section).
- Logs: Retained only as long as necessary for security and operations, then deleted.
6. Security Measures
The operator implements reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, alteration, or loss of authorization credentials and operational data. These include:
- Access control implementation
- Proper storage and management of authentication credentials
- Regular security reviews and updates
7. Data Deletion (Disconnection)
Data related to Pinterest integration can be deleted through the following methods:
- Revoke App Access: Revoke the app’s access from Pinterest settings
- Delete from Postiz: Remove Pinterest connection from Postiz Integrations settings
- Deletion Request: Contact via the Data Deletion page or inquiry form

8. Cookies
The operator’s website may use cookies or similar technologies for display and security purposes. Cookies can be disabled through browser settings.
9. Analytics Tools
The operator’s website may use Google Analytics to analyze access information. Analytics uses cookies, which can be rejected by disabling cookies.
